ABOUT US

OUR FARM & OUR BEEF

Farm History

Our family has owned and farmed this land for over 3 generations, dating to the early 1900s when the initial property was purchased by Bob Brown. Most recently, additional acreage was purchased from the Harvey family, land that had been in that family since the King of England’s initial grant. Both properties were row cropped along with livestock production. In the early 1900s, tenant farmers occupied the land. We have recently restored the last remaining tenant home, a barn, and a windmill dating to the 1920s. Even earlier history abounds with a hand hewn log home that has been dated to the 1790s and a hand cut limestone cemetery from earlier occupation by the Mitchell Walden family. Today, the farms primary goal is quality beef production, hay production, and wildlife habitat.

We take great pride in the generations that have farmed this land. We are investing sweat and equity into preserving it for future generations

OUR CORE VALUES

QUALITY

Renowned for its exceptional fat marbling, our registered cattle produce premium Wagyu beef that you can truly taste the difference in.

FAMILY

We are a family owned farm that knows the true meaning of farm-to-table, and providing our animals a healthy and stress-free environment which is integral to our operations.

HISTORY

Maintaining a strong pedigree is crucial to ensuring our Wagyu beef is top quality, so we prioritize the lineage and genetics of our cows and bulls.

About our Cattle

We take pride in producing the finest beef possible. In 2021, we pivoted our focus from commercial beef to Akaushi. It is not an overnight process, but has taken a significant investment of capital to improve our facilities and time to allow the cattle to achieve the marbling they are known for. We have worked with industry leaders of this breed and the University of Georgia to understand and develop our feeding rations.

Our cattle are carefully selected through a vetting process that is very selective based upon sire and dam genetics. We are focusing on producing F1 (50%) and F2 (75%) steers and heifers for public consumption. We also currently have a small full-blood herd and can provide a limited number of bulls or heifers as needed to others seeking to introduce these exceptional genetics into their herds.
